Definitions
Language is fluid and changes with time, but for productive discussions common definitions are necessary … and some definitions are better than others. I believe the best definitions are clear, narrow, don’t have multiple separate meanings, are tied to the etymology of the word, and ideally are not necessarily in conflict with colloquial usage.
